Wood
In the disposable world of today, timber has become a more valuable resource. Our focus is utilising what is naturally available, whilst still respecting the value of the product, and constructing our bespoke pieces in the most cost effective way. Oak, for example, has become a very expensive timber. This is partially due the increase of the Pound against the Dollar, leaving some species almost doubling in price over the last 3 years. We therefore try to use quality British hardwoods as much as possible enabling us to give, Provenance (in most cases) to its source.
We endeavour to maintain the woods character, and where possible, incorporate the living edge or ‘Wayn’ , which can add a real and distinctive quality to the form. Allowing its individual character to be reborn into the beautiful furniture we create. We can then make wood become eternal.
